Charlotte

I entered the wine trade in the early nineties, joining Seagram, and I have never looked back.

My husband Chris and I ran the successful Hartfields wine bar in Wimbledon from 1994 to 2004.

Whilst studying for WSET wine qualifications I enjoyed working with Chateau Musar, Greene King and finally Philglas & Swiggot, an award winning independent wine merchant where I found heaven on Earth: a superb selection of wines all in one place!

I was inspired - and wound up here!

Simon

My wine consultant, Simon Smith, has been in the wine trade since the early Eighties. He is a mine of wine info, as anyone who comes to our regular winetastings he tutors at the shop can testify. I call him "Mr Integrity" as his tasting skills are incredible and he can detect every nuance in the wine.

Arlene

Arlene is by profession a journalist but helps run the shop part time and is fluent in Italian and French. She is well travelled and her experience and enthusiasm about wine is enjoyed by customers as she advises them on their choices.
